Sealed bids, in duplicate will be received by CW SCOA West, L.P., on behalf of Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 172 at the office of Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas until 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read for the construction of the project:

AND STORM WATER FACILITIES
TO SERVE TOWNE LAKE, SECTION FOUR (PHASE ONE)
PROJECT NO. 041-014-04-DST (J)

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 2:30 p.m., at the office of Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas.  Bids submitted by parties not attending the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will not be accepted or opened.

The project consists of approximately 600 LF of 4” - 12” water line; 580 LF of 8” gravity sanitary sewer; 520 LF of 24” – 36” storm sewer.  The project site is located on Key Map No. 406D.

The above described construction will be performed in accordance with plans and specifications and any addenda thereto which may be issued prior to forty-eight (48) hours before the opening of bids.  Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained at the office of Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas, with a $50.00 non-refundable charge for each set of documents obtained.

Bidders Bond, signed by both the surety and the Bidder, Cashier's Check or Certified Check in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total bid must accompany each proposal.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed advantageous to it and waive informalities in bidding.  All bids received after the closing time above designated will be returned unopened.
