Sealed bids, in triplicate will be received by H-M-W Special Utility District at the District office, 26718 Decker Prairie-Rosehill Road, Magnolia, Texas  77335 until 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read for the construction of the project:

GRANT ROAD ESTATES WATER PLANT IMPROVEMENTS
FOR H-M-W SPECIAL UTILITY DISTRICT
PROJECT NO. 071-004-22 (I)

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at 3:30 p.m., at the office of the District .  Bids submitted by parties not attending the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will not be accepted or opened.

The project consists of drilling a test hole, construction, development and testing of a public water supply well.  Anticipated depth is approximately 500 feet and well should be capable of producing a minimum of 75 gallons per minute (gpm).  Well pump shall be a submersible deep well pump.  The project is located on Key Map No. 328J.

The Owner will construct the seal slab, be responsible for disinfection of the well and complete all bacteriological testing.

The above described construction will be performed in accordance with plans and specifications and any addenda thereto which may be issued prior to forty-eight (48) hours before the opening of bids.  Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained at the District office, 26718 Decker Prairie-Rosehill Road, Magnolia, Texas  77335, with a $40.00 non-refundable charge for each set of documents obtained.

Bidders Bond, signed by both the surety and the Bidder, Cashier's Check or Certified Check in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total bid must accompany each proposal.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed advantageous to it and waive informalities in bidding.  All bids received after the above designated closing time will be returned unopened.
