Sealed bids, five (5) originals will be received by West Travis County Municipal Utility District No. 3 at the office of Texas Utility Management Company “TUMCO”, 3910 Capistrano Trail, Austin, Texas  78739, until 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read for the construction of the project:

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 11:30 a.m., at the Lake Pointe Homeowners Community Building located at the corner of Resaca Boulevard and Sonoma Drive.  Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained at the pre-bid conference with an $80.00 non-refundable charge by check only for each set of documents obtained.  Bids submitted by parties not attending the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will not be accepted or opened.

The project consists of removal of approximately 4,000 LF of existing stone/wood perimeter fence beginning at the corner of Resaca Boulevard and FM 2244 (Bee Caves Road) to approximately 200 LF past Bayton Road.  This fence will be replaced with 4,000 LF of 4-inch thick, 6 ft. native limestone post tension wall, including architectural details, landscape lighting, repair and update existing irrigation, as well as refurbishing the existing columns with veneers at street entrances.

The above described construction will be performed in accordance with plans and specifications and any addenda thereto which may be issued prior to forty-eight (48) hours before the opening of bids.  Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained after the pre-bid conference at the office of Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas, with an $80.00 non-refundable charge by check only for each set of documents obtained.

Bidders Bond, signed by both the surety and the Bidder, Cashier's Check or Certified Check in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total bid must accompany each proposal.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed advantageous to it and waive informalities in bidding.  All bids received after the closing time above designated will be returned unopened.
