Sealed bids, in duplicate will be received by Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 64 at the office of the Engineer for the District, Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas until 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read for the construction of the project:

WATER DISTRIBUTION, WASTEWATER COLLECTION
AND STORM WATER FACILITIES TO SERVE
KATY-FORT BEND COUNTY ROAD
PROJECT NO. 72060-24-00 

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 2:30 p.m., at the office of the Engineer for the District, Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas.  Bids submitted by parties not attending the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will not be accepted or opened. 

The project consists of clearing and grubbing of approximately 5.5 acres; 900 LF of 12” PVC water line, 700 LF of 8” sanitary sewer, 300 LF of 42” RCP storm sewer, 550 LF of 36” RCP storm sewer and 330 LF of 30” RCP storm sewer.  The project site is located on Key Map No. 444-V/445-S. 

The above described construction will be performed in accordance with plans and specifications and any addenda thereto which may be issued prior to forty-eight (48) hours before the opening of bids.  Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained at the office of Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas, with a $75.00 non-refundable charge for each set of documents obtained. 

Bidders Bond, signed by both the surety and the Bidder, Cashier's Check or Certified Check in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of the total bid must accompany each proposal. 

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed advantageous to it and waive informalities in bidding.  All bids received after the closing time above designated will be returned unopened.
