Sealed bids, in duplicate will be received by Katy Promise Joint Venture, on behalf of West Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 5 at the office of Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas until 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read for the construction of the project:

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 2:30 p.m., at the office of the Engineer for the District, Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas.  Bids submitted by parties not attending the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will not be accepted or opened.

The project consists of one (1) 1,000 gpm vertical turbine well; one (1) 333,600 gallon ground storage tank; two (2) 15,000 gallon hydro-pneumatic tanks; one (1) 22’ x 47’ concrete masonry building; one (1) 550 Kw generator; pumps, piping and ancillary equipment.  The project is located on Key Map No. 444Z and 445W.

The above described construction will be performed in accordance with plans and specifications and any addenda thereto which may be issued prior to forty-eight (48) hours before the opening of bids.  Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained at the office of Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ and Associates, Inc., 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas, with a $75.00 non-refundable charge for each set of documents obtained.

Bidders Bond, signed by both the surety and the Bidder, Cashier's Check or Certified Check in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total bid must accompany each proposal.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed advantageous to it and waive informalities in bidding.  All bids received after the closing time above designated will be returned unopened.
